Hydrotherapy System
These days, you have many more choices than "whirlpool or soaking". From calming and soothing, to invigorating and revitalizing, there is a Jacuzzi product that is everything you've dreamed. Try our interactive bath guide to find the experience that is right for you.
Whirlpools (Jetted Baths):
Deep-tissue massage concentrates the therapeutic power of water to your source of tension. With spacious bathing wells and a multitude of jet placements that provide for a totally customized experience.
A jetted bath massages by forcing a mixture of air and water through jets incorporated into a bathtub. An air bath provides a gentler massage by blowing air through the water. Create whatever massage you desire at the touch of a button. Jacuzzi's new multi-speed motor lets you take control and customize the strength of your massage like never before. Keep it low for a gentle, soothing current of caressing water. Or turn it on full for deep muscle penetration and feel the water work its wonders. Jacuzzi® whirlpools are available in both our Luxury and Comfort collections.
Pure Air® Baths:
Step in, sit back and feel the pure pleasure of being caressed by thousands of warm air bubbles exploding on every inch of your body with Pure Air®. Where whirlpools circulate a combination of air and water to produce an intense, targeted massage, air baths, by design, create a softer, subtler, full-body experience. The only thing that churns the water in a Pure Air® bath is just that: pure, heated air. The result is a gentle, scintillating immersion - bubbly relaxation that is more champagne than shiatsu. Jacuzzi® Pure Air® baths are available in both our Luxury and Comfort collections.
Salon™ Spas:
Some days call for an invigorating massage, others for a gentle caress, and still others a combination of both. For all of these days, there is one remarkable water retreat. Jacuzzi® Salon™ Spas combine the therapeutic power of the Luxury Whirlpool experience and the calm, effervescence of Jacuzzi Pure Air®. This is the ultimate home retreat from the speed of life. Jacuzzi® Salon™ Spas are available in our Luxury collection.
Material Options
Cast iron: Enamel-coated cast iron provides a timeless look and is very durable. However, they're heavier than other tubs and may require extra support in the floor.
Gel-coated fiberglass: Much like a boat, these tubs are lightweight. They're inexpensive, too, but the downside is that they can scratch.
Acrylic: This affordable and lightweight option is molded and reinforced with fiberglass. It is chip and crack resistant and it can be repaired if damaged. All Jacuzzi baths are created using Acrylic.
DETERMINE THE SIZE OF THE BATH
Baths are measured by length, width, and height (i.e., depth). Try our feature selector tool to view products by size - and then select the features you want to see the perfect bath for you.
Questions to Ask
How much space do you have available?
Are you planning to knock down walls as part of your remodel? If so, who will be doing the work? You will want to consider working with a contractor or design professional to make sure the work is done correctly.
Who will be using the tub? You will need to consider their size, number, and needs.
For children, our baths are designed to run with minimal water, and we invented the safety suction, so there is no need to worry about toys or other items damaging the pump.
For two people, you will need a center drain on a rectangle, or a corner tub.
For a tall person, you probably want a 6-ft (vs. 5 ft) bath.
DETERMINE THE DRAIN AND PUMP LOCATIONS
A center drain is best if you plan to have two people in the bath at the same time.
Baths come either right hand (RH) or left hand (LH), depending on where the drain is; or, in the case of a certain drain, which end the pump is located.
The pump is typically located opposite the drain (and generally under the sloping side of the tub).
DETERMINE PREFERRED INSTALLATION TYPE
Deck-mounted (or drop-in):
The bath is dropped into a pocket in the floor, or into a surround. This installation type will require more room than a recess-mount. It also requires you to build in a surround for it.
Recess-mounted (or niche installation):
The bath is installed between two (or three) walls; the walls butt up against the rim of the unit. In these cases we offer optional tile flange kits or units that contain a built-in tile flange lip. The flange kit and built in lip are made to anchor the unit to the stud walls. This installation type requires less room than a deck-mount.
DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT A SKIRT
Opting to have a skirt will save you money on tiling and will provide access to the plumbing for service.
DETERMINE ANY ADDED FEATURES YOU DESIRE
These could include a heater to keep the water warm, and drain and trim kits. Choose your desired enhancements (pillow headrests, handrails, etc.)
SELECT A COLOR
Typically, you will want to match your bathtub color to the base color of your sink and toilet. However, there are no hard rules on color choices. Go with your gut - or hire a designer if your gut isn't talking.
