Jacuzzi's New Lighting System Sets Almost Any Mood

Innovative Fiber Optics Add Ambience Like No Other

Las Vegas, NV - January 19, 2004 - Research has proven that light and color can improve and enhance one's feeling of well-being. With Jacuzzi's new Illumatherapy fiber optic lighting system, bathers now have a palette of over 250 colors to match any mood.

Jacuzzi, inventor and leading seller of jetted baths is introducing the first-ever fiber optic lighting system built inside the bath's whirlpool jets to provide vibrant beams of light in a clean, aesthetically pleasing manner. "Light and color affects how we feel and Jacuzzi's fiber optic system is a first for this industry, enabling consumers to personalize their whirlpool bath experience to help them relax and relieve the stress of the day," said Kent Baker, president.

Jacuzzi's Illumatherapy fiber optic feature will be available first on Jacuzzi's Bellavista bath and is expected to be available on a variety of models later this year.

How Illumatherapy Works

Through the simple press of a button, the Illumatherapy system creates a medley of color, water and bubbles. Bathers can rotate through or select from 256 different colors on two different speed settings or colors can slowly change and blend on their own. In either case, the result is a relaxing light, water and air show in the bath.

Six fiber optic bands are installed in the perimeter of the jet and three fiber optic rods are in the nozzle of the jet to create Jacuzzi's unique lighting effect.

Fiber optic lights create vibrant beams of light that are more lively and vivid than standard bulbs and last up to 100,000 hours.
